In my lighting design, I always keep in mind the lighting spaces inspired by "In Praise of Shadows," a traditional Japanese aesthetic. This time, I'll reveal all the lighting product numbers (Panasonic only) I've selected to create beautiful shadows with indirect lighting. This is the second part of a two-part video series. At the same time, it creates a comfortable space that evokes emotion. In addition to cove, cornice, and bracket lights, downlights come in diffuse and focused types, and I utilize these to design shadows. By the way, lighting has a color temperature, and I recommend only 2,700K (Kelvin) to 2,800K incandescent light! What about warm white? It's not relaxing, it doesn't create a beautiful space, and it's unnecessary. Please absolutely refrain from mixing (color temperatures) only in the kitchen or in specific areas. I also dislike the flat lamps with replaceable LED bulbs that Panasonic is promoting to meet the demands of house builders. In addition, there's the Living Light Control (hereinafter referred to as Light Control) that I've been using for over 20 years. Light Control allows you to control multiple lights stress-free with the touch of a button. It's a great device that can recreate various scenes such as "movie lighting, high-quality dining lighting, bar counter lighting..." with the touch of a button at any time... However, there is a model called Synchro Color Tuning. It boasts the ability to control the light color from white to orange. This is unnecessary. As I've said many times, warm white light is the only option for residential lighting. 　　　 The important components in creating a stylish space aren't just furniture like sofas and chairs or curtains. Planning beautiful shadows created by multi-lighting in a single room as part of the interior is extremely important. And I find it puzzling that so many housing companies simply hand over floor plans to lighting manufacturers and request "lighting plans," even though lighting is crucial for creating a comfortable space. No one at a manufacturer truly understands a space, do they? Many architects... What was your vision for the lighting when you designed the house? What will you focus on, and how will the light fall? Don't you care about the lighting fixtures (model numbers) that will achieve these things? I have many questions. I have a unified spatial vision, from design to construction, including lighting and interior design. Of course, I handle everything myself, from selecting lighting fixtures to planning the lighting layout. You shouldn't entrust this to strangers who don't understand your home. Beauty, comfort, and maintainability—it all depends on design skill. This is recommended not only for new home construction, but also for those considering remodeling, renovation, or DIY. Beautiful towns generate asset value and foster a sense of responsibility among residents to protect them. I repeatedly design with enjoyment, hardship, and a sense of pouring my heart and soul into it, and when my blueprints are built into such large, scaled-up homes, it fills me with emotion. That's why I wasn't particularly interested in remodeling or renovations. However, when friends and acquaintances make a strong request, I can't ignore it. My feeling is that if my involvement can increase the happiness of even one person, then so be it. For apartments, a full renovation, starting with a skeleton structure, allows you to experience the true essence of design (a dramatic change in living). Furthermore, we rarely undertake partial renovations, such as floor plan design, lighting planning, exterior construction, wallpaper selection, back-set (cupboard) installation, or entrance tiling. Even in renovations, design is necessary for anything involving architectural construction. When creating drawings, the creation of electrical wiring diagrams, including outlets, switches, and lighting plans, becomes a crucial point. Once lighting and electrical planning are involved, interior planning (wallpaper, flooring, ceiling materials, furniture, curtains, etc.)—determining "what to illuminate and how"—becomes essential.
