The 103 Series will retire from the Wadamisaki Line with the timetable revision on March 18, 2023. I rode the Wadamisaki Line's 103 Series R1 train, which remains almost in its original form since the days of the Japanese National Railways. On Sundays, holidays, and during the daytime, when Kawasaki Sharyo operates Class A services along the Wadamisaki Line, the train is sometimes returned to the depot after the morning schedule. I got to see the rare 103 Series gliding along the main line. Since I had to get up early that day, I stayed at a hotel in Shin-Kobe the night before.
