Budget build incoming! Have you ever heard of the Subaru Impreza Gravel Express? It was a special model made in the 1990s, just 1300 were sold and only in Japan - A practical, off-road wagon with the thumping heart of a WRX. In our first project of 2026, we set out to create an homage to that rare cult classic ... on a budget. Taking a 2007 Subaru Forester XT as the basis, and with the help of Supercheap Auto, Molly and Dan wind back the years while adding a host of special features to enhance off-road capability and awesomeness, along with a caffeinated twist...
