At the Galaxy Unpacked event in London, Samsung unveiled three new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8. The biggest innovation is the Fold 8 – here, Samsung is using a wider external display with a new aspect ratio for the first time. Both models feature larger batteries and new AI functions. Despite these innovations, the devices remain expensive, with prices starting at around €2,000. Competition from Apple could further stimulate the foldable phone market.
