The Kovalam Happening - Part 1

'The Kovalam Happening', contains excerpts from the talks Ramesh Balsekar gave in November 2002 during his 10 day seminar in Kovalam, Kerala. It was designed to provide an introductory overview to the concepts of Ramesh's Teaching. One of the points Ramesh consistently emphasises is the importance of the effect of any Teaching in a person's daily living and 'The Kovalam Happening' gives many of the seminar participants the chance to describe how various aspects of Ramesh's Teaching has impacted and changed their own daily life. The Kovalam Happening – Part 1 In this talk, Ramesh Balsekar demystifies enlightenment, explaining it as simple acceptance of life as it unfolds rather than a mystical state to be achieved. He teaches that no one is the doer — every action arises through divine will and conditioning — and that peace comes from deeply accepting this. The conversation explores ego, destiny, and how realizing “I am not the doer” dissolves guilt, pride, and blame. Enlightenment, he says, is living in harmony with what is, without judging oneself or others.
