This rumor raised doubts about the stallion's racial purity and, consequently, about the very foundation of the breed, since, according to Fellipe, 80% of the animals of the breed currently possess Turbante's genetics. To put an end to this debate, Fellipe performed a complete genomic test on Turbante. The result was clear: there was no genetic trace of the horse populations that formed the Hanoverian breed. On the contrary, its genetics showed 100% ancestry from the populations that formed the Mangalarga breed, scientifically proving its racial purity.
