The previous tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making this the first event in eight years. Highly skilled athletes selected from the International Karate Organization (I.K.O.) federations around the world will compete in intense matches, divided into four weight classes for men and three for women, all vying for the championship title.
