Flysky upgrade, short RC receiver antenna (flysky FS-gr3e)

This video shows how to make an flysky fs-gr3e receiver with a short antenna, without losing range NOTE-UPDATE thanks to a comment: the modification is proved for a flysky gr3e, but could work less good on different receivers brand, if the shielding is used to tune the impedance. NOTE2 :Antenna shorter than 31 mm could be used by manufacturer to tune impedance for the PCB, so it should be better to keep same antenna lenght(e.g. 28mm) as the original one. But the flysky was going randomly feom 28 to 30mm so not sure how intentional it was to have it shorter than 31mm. In summary: if you short other receivers models antenna, perform range test. As new antenna you can use either a piece of the old antenna, or the bind plug. Usually I don't know where to place the long antenna so in all my models i use this trick from long time The short antenna are less recommended for boats or carbon fiber chassis, where you may need to pull the antenna out of the model But in general i like the short one much better
