Where are Ukrainian refugees currently being accepted? December 12, 2025. Refugee camp in Chemnitz. Former GDR (Karl Marx Stadt). We are refugees from Ukraine. We have been living in Germany for two years with my 84-year-old disabled mother in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. In this video, we will tell you where Ukrainian refugees are currently being accepted, how long they will continue to accept them, what the conditions are, and where they are sent after the initial camps. We will visit two refugee camps in Saxony (former GDR): Chemnitz and Miran. We will tell the story of our 22-year-old friend from Ukraine, who was rejected in our state and sent here. We will tell you what happened to him and where he is now. We will talk with Ukrainians in the camp. We will also take a walk around Chemnitz. We will visit a military unit from the former GDR, learn about its history, a Christmas market, and an authentic town in Saxony – Miran. We'll show you the hotel we rented and how much it cost us.
