This video depicts the pure and sacred bond of Lord Krishna and Draupadi. Subhadra, who is Krishna’s sibling denied to offer a piece of her embroidered saree to stop his finger from bleeding whereas, Draupadi who wasn’t his real sister by relation agreed - said, “ I’m so grateful to Krishna that I’ll readily even tear a piece of my heart for him.” Krishna remembered this favour and returned it by saving her honour with his intervention during the act of disrobing Draupadi was carried out by the Kauravas (Vastraharan). It's known that Draupadi prays to Krishna and is able to salvage the last fragments of her dignity. Her garment becomes endless — yards and yards of fabric appear miraculously and defeat Dushasana’s lascivious intentions. (And these fabrics were a return of favour against the fabric Draupadi has torn from her apparel while Lord Krishna bled.) This bond is the sacred bond of a Brother and Sister and today on the occasion of Rakshabandhan we plead everyone to be there for each other and extend to build this bond with people around you.
