Legendary artist Richard Serra visits the Strand to talk about his latest monograph, Early Work. Richard Serra is one of the most significant figures working in the art world today. His work in sculpture, video art, and drawings and prints are major contributions to the fields of minimalism and site-specific artwork, and he has been featured in retrospectives at the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim, among others esteemed spaces. Richard will visit Strand in celebration his latest monograph, Early Work, released in conjunction with his show at David Zwirner gallery, here in the city. Early Work collects his seminal works from 1966-1972, including innovations with vulcanized rubber, neon, and lead, steel and process-oriented art.
