ISG US - IMA Batch Size 1 manufacturing systems

The patented Batch Size 1 system allows machining of all six sides of work piece of all sizes in one pass without reclamping and with no setup times. Prior to machining the work pieces are measured by high-precision servo axes, with automatic calculation of the measured parts tolerances. Since only the work piece is moved in the main direction, the low moving mass results in high processing speeds and minimal wear. In addition to virtually all drilling, sawing and milling processes, also with tool changing systems, gluing and doweling can also be performed in one pass. All axis adjustments are executed by controlled NC servo axes. The customer can decide whether feeding and removal of parts is performed manually or automatically by means of a hedgehog buffer or handling robot.
