From production to market: The challenges of marketing for rural women’s producer groups in Tunisia

Women’s producer organizations in rural Tunisia have recognized expertise in producing local products and handicrafts. These organizations provide their women members with personal income and a range of opportunities. However, they often face challenges in marketing their products: quality assurance procedures are not always properly implemented, marketing channels remain limited, and packaging is often inadequate. Various initiatives can be undertaken to address these constraints.
