Poland - I’m Polish by Descent (Residency & Citizenship in Poland by Birthright)
In today's video we search for my ancestor's records to prove my Polish heritage as we apply for permanent residency in Poland to show I'm Polish by Descent. While I'm currently applying for Residency, I may in the future choose to pursue Citizenship in Poland by Birthright. My Polish ancestors come from my mother's side she's 100% Polish DNA, I have four great grandparents born in Poland and am 52.4% Polish confirmed by DNA testing. Today we will visit the archives in Sandomierz Poland and Kielce Poland to recover baptismal records for two of my ancestors, we'll also walk around the towns and share the quality of life there as we perceive it. We are currently in Krakow / Cracow where we are homebased for 57 days, in our Polish series of videos we will be giving our first impressions of Poland, share our initial experiences, expenses and explore my polish heritage, we'll also meet with expats living in Poland, share our costs, impressions of Poland's livability and quality of life, look at real estate and visit with immigration experts. Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw, and many other cities in Poland have many foreigners calling the country home. Poland offers a reasonable cost of living and great quality of life. The average US Retiree on Social Security receives $1,550 a month, and a couple on Social Security receives over $2,500 a month. A US Expat living on Social Security if allowed could expect a lower cost of living in Poland when compared to the living costs in the US. Warren is 52.4% Polish identified via DNA testing with 23 & Me, from four Great Grandparents who were from Poland. We will be exploring Residency by Descent in this and future episodes. Are you looking for affordable and viable options? We are exploring the world to see what it's like to live in a country, and also discover if Residency is an option. We began our retirement in March of 2020 with the intent to travel the world, spending 1-3 months in a country or location. We want to see what it's like to live there and not simply visit, and we want to share these experiences and the costs with whoever wishes to follow along. #poland #krakow #cracow Music: Sandomierz Poland Street Performers
