Awesome Fast Schindler PORT Traction Elevators - Marriott Marquis, New York, NY (28-45)

Filmed May 11, 2025 These are awesome elevators! They are super fun to ride! They are so fast! These are one of the world's most famous elevators in the community. The Atlanta one where I stayed back in 2015 seems more famous than here. Sadly these are keycarded, but luckily, I was staying here! This is also my FIRST EVER destination dispatch! These used to be Miconic 10 as we all know. I started on the 4th floor because there is security down on the first floor plus the View staff on the 3rd floor. I also did not want to ride the internal elevators because I only wanted to ride the glass ones. This hotel was designed by John Portman, completed in 1985. When these were Westinghouse, these used to have HORRIBLE wait times until the Miconic 10 came to the hotel in 2005 and then in 2019, they replaced the destination dispatch panels with PORT.
