How to Grow Crassula Ovata Gollum

Crassula Ovata Gollum is a popular succulent houseplant in the UK. it can be grown outdoors over summer and does very well if kept frost free. Crassula's will flower, usually, over the winter months, Gollum has small white flowers held on upright branches at the tips of new growth. The flowers are not particularly exciting or abundant, so the plant is usually grown for its foliage which is glossy, upright, and plentiful giving the appearance of a small tree if well-grown. Crassula is tremendously forgiving and recovers from neglect quickly, particularly drought. This makes them very useful houseplants for less experienced growers. They tolerate relatively poor light conditions for long periods as well as bright sunlight, grow in most composts and garden soil and are easy to propagate from cuttings or even large branches, rooting in a couple of weeks and quickly growing away.
