How We Stop Gamba Grass on Country

Gamba grass (Andropogon gayanus) is a highly invasive weed that is extremely harmful to the Northern Territory’s natural environment. Territory Natural Resource Management is working closely with groups and organisations across the Top End in an effort to reduce the impacts of gamba grass. The early response of ranger groups and others on country to Stop Gamba Grass in its Tracks has a huge role to play in protecting our Top End landscapes. TNRM has developed this animation to be used as a tool to be able to raise awareness on the ecology of gamba grass, focusing on seasonal growth throughout the year and the best course of management to control gamba grass and prevent spread during those associated seasons. Big thanks to everyone who helped with the animation also to all who continue to work hard collectively to stop the spread of gamba grass in Northern Australia.
