How being wrong moves you forward | Vilius Leikauskas | TEDxErasmusUniversityCollege
When uncertainty paralyses you, what separates those who act from those who don't? This talk explores the psychology of decision-making under uncertainty, and how separating what we can control from what we can't can unlock bolder, more confident action even when the picture is incomplete. Vilius Leikauskas is a Lithuanian-American student at Erasmus University College studying Economics with a minor in Neuroscience. He is fascinated by how people make decisions when they don’t really know what’s going on—and why uncertainty seems to push some people into action while it stops others completely. Outside of class, he has worked in consulting and commercial strategy, where certainty is a luxury we do not always have. Alongside his studies and work, he spends a lot of time learning about philosophy and human behavior, exploring those interests through books, podcasts, and long conversations. During his talk, he aims to show how separating what we can control from what we can’t can help us act more boldly, even when the picture is incomplete. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
