Against the Clock is a series on FACT where we give an artist 10 minutes in the studio and see what they come up with. Taking the challenge this week, Fracture. Head of the Astrophonica label, Fracture has been drawing from his loves of hip-hop and jungle for close to a decade, recently becoming part of the family at drum'n'bass powerhouses Metalheadz and Exit Records. Fracture's a keen sampler, and his Against the Clock episode is a special one: as well as only taking 10 minutes to make a track, he made it sampling records that he bought at East London store Eldica. How long did we give him to pick the records out? Why, 10 minutes of course.
