The documentary reveals how important it is for young children with this very rare condition to meet and form friendships with others who look similar to them and face the same hurdles in life. It is also great for their families to be able to offer their mutual support and we follow Liam’s parents as they launch Britain’s first international gathering for parents and children with the condition in Liverpool. Primordial dwarfism is an extremely rare form of dwarfism, where the bodies stay proportionate but small. Only one in five million children suffer from the condition. Growth decelerates with age and most will only grow to 40 inches (102 cm) by the age of 12 and then not live beyond their twenties.
