Renting a Fire Lookout in the Mountains of Colorado
This is the Mestaa’Ėhehe Fire Lookout located in the Arapahoe and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, just about an hour drive away from Denver. I rented a night in this fire lookout tower alone in order to see one of the best sunset and sunrise that the Denver area has to offer. This tower is probably one of my favorite places in Colorado, I've only rented a night here once before in 2018 and am only just now returning for another night here in 2025. The area offers some great hiking and camping, and the fire lookout itself offers a unique view of Denver and the Rocky Mountains. The Fire Lookout is owned by the US Forest Service and is rented out throughout the year.
