Residents flock to Lake Superior as extreme heat brings dangerous conditions to UP
A historic heat dome has settled over the Upper Peninsula, pushing temperatures past the daily record to a scorching 94 degrees in Marquette. Local health officials are urging residents to take the extreme conditions seriously, especially for vulnerable populations. We caught up with locals trying to stay cool at Lake Superior, and authorities have opened 11 cooling centers across Marquette County to help everyone stay safe.
