[대담한K] 정이한 개혁신당 부산시장 후보에게 듣는다 / KBS 2026.04.29.
[Anchor] With the simultaneous local elections scheduled for June 3rd, the 7 O'clock News is meeting with the Busan mayoral candidates from each political party in turn. Following Democratic Party candidate Jeon Jae-soo and People Power Party candidate Park Heong-joon, today we have Reform Party candidate Jeong Yi-han in the studio. I am asking the first question to everyone. Let's start by hearing your reasons for running for Busan Mayor. [Anchor] Many people were worried about an incident that occurred during a campaign rally two days ago. Immediately after being discharged from the hospital today, you released a message stating that politics is a process of resolving conflicts. It seems like you spent the last two days doing a lot of contemplation and thinking? [Anchor] Fortunately, you have resumed your official schedule. The election is effectively being contested as a two-way race between the Democratic Party and the People Power Party, and according to opinion polls, the gap in support for Candidate Jeong is quite wide. Do you plan to see the race through to the end, regardless of the outcome? [Anchor] Emigration to the capital area, jobs, housing, wages, inequality. There are too many youth issues that need to be addressed. Candidate Jeong is also in his 30s; as someone directly experiencing the youth himself, his perspective likely differs from that of other candidates, doesn't it? [Anchor] You have put forward the "Three Major Jobs Projects" as your core campaign pledges for this election, emphasizing that the causes and solutions to youth issues must be found within the corporate sector. I am curious how you plan to solve corporate issues with the power of a minority party in Busan, where there isn't a single company among the top 100? [Anchor] You also announced a pledge to normalize the Baptist Hospital. Establishing it as a public hospital requires over 300 billion won, but you have presented calculations suggesting that it can be reopened within a year with just 28 billion won. How is that possible? [Anchor] There is fierce competition among Busan mayoral candidates regarding pledges for baseball stadiums. Candidates are proposing various plans, but what are the limitations of the existing candidates' baseball stadium pledges, and how does Candidate Jeong's pledge differ from theirs? [Anchor] The candidates are fiercely debating over responsibility regarding the timing of the opening of the Gadeok New Airport. Candidate Jeong has filed a legal complaint against Assemblyman Jeon Jae-soo and has pointed out the issue of municipal administration responsibility to Mayor Park Heong-joon. There is a concern that such moves, attacking both sides, could be perceived as a negative campaign. What are your thoughts on this? [Anchor] You must be working harder than anyone else in this election, but regardless of whether you are elected, your actions after the election will be important as well. What kind of politician does Candidate Jeong envision, and what role do you plan to play in Busan going forward? [Anchor] We will end our discussion here today. That was Jeong Yi-han, the Reform Party candidate for Busan Mayor. Copyright ⓒ KBS. All rights reserved. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, and use (including AI learning) are prohibited.
