Our 80 Series Land Cruiser is getting a much-needed change. The old turbo on the 1HD-FT has some problems and it’s time for something new — or at least new to us. In this episode, we pull the tired stock turbo out of the J8 Land Cruiser and replace it with a used G-Turbo. Of course, nothing goes as planned. From stubborn bolts to unexpected surprises under the hood. But when it’s finally in, we take the 80 for a proper test drive to find out if the used G-Turbo can still deliver that legendary boost — or if this swap was just the beginning of another story.
