PERFECT RC FLYING AEROBATIC TRAINER !!! OMP BIGHORN: ESSENTIAL RC FLIGHT TEST AVAILABLE HERE: http://bit.ly/ompBighornRCPlane I was genuinely surprised how quick and easy it was to assemble this model. The type of simplicity we have learnt to expect from a foam model has been cleverly translated into a balsa model which actually turns out much lighter! The BIGHORN arrived with all the servos and control horns installed so all you need to do is snap the control rods onto the ball links on each side. The horizontal stab/elevator slots in with some epoxy. The covering film has already been removed and the fit is perfect. The rudder is pre-hinged. Use some medium cyano and the hinges slide into pre-slotted holes in the vertical stab. The landing gear, propeller and spinner are easily installed with bolt/screws. In all it takes 15-30 minutes to assemble the BIGHORN and that just leaves installation of your receiver. The ESC has an XT60 plug and you'll need a 3S2500 pack or similar to get this BIGHORN flying. Worth mentioning we went for the most high visibility scheme but red and blue schemes are also available. In the air, this model flies super light but amazingly deals with even the windiest day really well as I demonstrated in the video. I used maximum throws on all control surfaces with 30% exponential but you could dial down the throws with rates for smoother flying. Landings are easy as well. The wind on the day didn't necessitate the use of flaps but they are truly barn door size so on a calm day you could make steep descents and make touch downs on the strip easily with all the drag they generate.
