GOLUBAYA RICHKA Golubaya Rechka is a sanatorium in the Odintsovo urban district of the Moscow region, near the village of Karinskoye. It specializes in rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery. The sanatorium also provides restorative treatment for diseases of the nervous system and respiratory system. The Golubaya Rechka sanatorium is located in the northwest of the Moscow region, 56 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road, on the banks of the Moskva River. It consists of four residential buildings. Buildings 1 and 4 are connected to the treatment building and the fitness and wellness complex by heated walkways. Building 3, in addition to rooms, houses a banquet hall, a cinema, and a café. Building 2 is a separate building. The sanatorium offers one-, two-, and three-room apartments. KARINSKOE Karinskoe is a village in the Odintsovo Urban District of Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the western part of the Moscow Oblast, on the Malodelna River where it flows into the Moskva River, on the Ruza-Zvenigorod highway, 12 km from Zvenigorod. Population: 1,613 (2010) The village of Karinskoe was first mentioned in 1358 in the will of Ivan II the Red, Grand Duke of Moscow and Vladimir, bequeathing his villages to his sons. In 1454, Ivan the Red's grandson, Vasily the Dark, donated these lands to the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which held them until the mid-18th century, when the church lands were transferred to the state. The villagers' main occupations were logging, followed by river rafting to Moscow, and handicrafts. Agriculture was underdeveloped due to the poor soil conditions. In the mid-19th century, the village began producing cigarette cases and church vessels. The first school was built in 1876. After the Revolution, with the active participation of Sergei Sergeyev, a resident of Karinskoye and a Baltic Fleet sailor who participated in the storming of the Winter Palace, a peasant mutual aid committee (Kombed) was established in the village, followed shortly thereafter by a credit association, a joint land cultivation association, and a cooperative artel. In the 1930s, a collective farm was established, new houses, a school, and a pharmacy were built, and a telephone line was installed to Zvenigorod. Karinskoye suffered severely during the Great Patriotic War, with most of the houses destroyed. In 1961, three collective farms merged into the Moskvoretsky state farm, with its center in Karinskoye. New two- and five-story houses, a clinic, a school, and a kindergarten were built. From 1994 to 2006, Karinskoye was the center of the Karinsky rural district. ZVENIGOROD Zvenigorod is a city (since 1781) in the Moscow Oblast of Russia. Population: 37,271 (2024). It is part of the Odintsovo urban district. A former city of regional subordination, until January–February 2019, it formed the municipality of the same name, the urban district of Zvenigorod, as its only populated area. It holds the honorary title of "City of Military Valor." The city is located on the banks of the Moskva River, 30 km west of Moscow, on the Klin-Dmitrovskaya Ridge of the Smolensk-Moscow Upland. Currently, Zvenigorod and its environs have become a popular resort and boarding house region in central Russia. The Moskva River and its tributaries flow through the city. The "Storozhki River Valley" nature reserve is also located in Zvenigorod. The picturesque surroundings of Zvenigorod have earned the nickname "Russian Switzerland." Zvenigorod (sometimes known in ancient times as Zvenigorod-Moskovsky) is one of the oldest cities in the Moscow region. Archaeological evidence indicates the presence of a fortified settlement on the site of Zvenigorodsky town in the second half of the 12th to early 13th centuries. Several studies claim that Zvenigorod was founded in 1152 by Yuri Dolgoruky. According to B.A. Rybakov, 12th-century Zvenigorod was a northeastern outpost of the Chernigov Principality. The first mention of Zvenigorod dates back to a 1339 ordained letter from the Moscow Prince Ivan Danilovich Kalita: "And this I give to my son Ivan Zvenigorod." The first mention of Zvenigorod in chronicles dates back to 1382.
