#6478 Gateway Classic Cars or St. Louis is proud to offer one very sharp 1968 Ford F100 Ranger pickup truck. Ford F-Series pickup trucks have been sold continuously since 1948. For the last 67 years Ford has gotten their formula right: reliable drive trains, rugged good looks, and a trim level for every budget. This 1968 F100 with the Ranger package is no exception. With a single-cab/long bed layout, and rear wheel drive, this truck would've made a great work horse in 1968... and probably still would! The truck was born with a 360 CID V8 under the hood which has been swapped with a more fuel efficient 1983 302 CID V8. Backing the V8 is a reliable C4 automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. The body was completely restored in the past year including new radiator support, new front cab mount, new cab floor supports, and new cab corners all installed by a professional body man and nicely photo documented. The list of new parts continues with new master cylinder, brake shoes, wheel seals, radiator and heater hoses, doors seals, window channels, windshield seals, and the list goes on and on. Also a fresh tune up with plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil, and control module. And a new air filter, oil filter and change, front and rear transmission seals, new battery, carburetor kit, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gaskets. There's no doubt this beauty is ready for the road. The body has been finished in its original Wimbledon White/Rangoon Red two tone color scheme and it sports beautiful new chrome bumpers front and rear. Currently the truck sits on a nice set of alloy wheels with white letter tires, but the original hub caps are available though in need of refinishing. Speaking of originality, the F100 comes with its original Ford Ownercard and Ford Warranty card. As if that wasn't cool enough, the original Sales Invoice from Sam Scism Motors in Flat River, Missouri is also available with a date of 1/2/68.
