Become a Let's Play Scrabble Superfriend and support the future of Scrabble live streaming: 👉    / @letsplayscrabbledotcom   The 2026 Causeway Challenge brings together over 400 players from 30 countries for 36 games across 4 days in Bangkok, Thailand — creating one of the largest, deepest, and most international Scrabble tournaments ever staged. Originally created by Singapore organizer Michael Tang in 2002 as a Singapore vs Malaysia rivalry event, the Causeway Challenge evolved into one of the most respected international tournaments in the game. Now, in collaboration with the Thailand Crossword Game Association and Bangkok Crossword Club, the event returns on an even bigger scale - inspired in part by the legendary King’s Cup tournaments that helped make Thailand a global hub for competitive Scrabble. This year’s field features world champions, national champions, longtime experts, and rising stars competing in a demanding 36-game format designed to produce drama all the way to the final round. With simultaneous live coverage from all 3 Premier Division feature tables, extensive live annotation, and worldwide distribution, Causeway Challenge represents a major step forward for modern Scrabble broadcasting. Live commentary throughout the event from: • Matt Canik • Chloe Fatsis • Jesse Matthews • Nits Chagti • Robin Pollock Daniel • Josh Sokol Welcome to the Causeway Challenge.
