Coogee shark attack victim ‘did everything right’: Rescuer | ABC NEWS
A 35-year-old woman remains in a critical but stable condition after being bitten by a shark believed to be 3 to 4 metres long off Sydney’s Coogee Beach. Charlie Verco overcame his fear of being attacked and paddled the woman back to shore. The off-duty lifeguard says more needs to be done to ensure the safety of beachgoers as the woman “did everything right” but was still attacked.
