Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asserted that the attacks carried out by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his "criminal network," as he described them, in Syria and Lebanon have reached a level that now threatens Turkey as well. Erdoğan launched a fierce attack on Israel, warning that its continued attacks in the Middle East now pose a direct threat to Turkish national security and to stability in the Mediterranean region and the world at large. He called on international powers to put an end to what he termed "Israeli aggression." Erdoğan urged world powers to take a clearer stance against Israel, arguing that the latter has become "more audacious" due to "the silence of the international community." He emphasized that "bringing Israel back to the rule of law has become a shared duty not only for some countries, but for all of humanity." For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the Turkish president in a post on the X platform, rejecting his accusations outright. Netanyahu wrote in his post: "The anti-Semitic dictator Erdoğan, who is committing genocide against the Kurds, supporting the Hamas terrorist organization, oppressing his own people, and imprisoning his political opponents, is the last person who can lecture the State of Israel."...
