Within walking distance, there will be shop offices, commercial centers, food courts, schools, wet markets and etc. Yet at the same time for The Shang Residence, there is hill behind to 'escape' all that havoc. In first glance, the main concern was the accessibility as the entrance is connected to a turn from one of the busiest road between Jalan Kuchai and Old Klang Road. After checking out further, my favourite design element will be that extra side entrance as a result of leveraging on the existing topography. That totally changed the entire project. Also as reputable as the team can be in Malacca, this is one of their project in Klang Valley and it feels like they have a lot to prove. The design theming strategy, the emphasis on maintenance, the internal layout around the yard space, the clubhouse and etc... All coordinated well within this narrow site. But let's always be reminded that there are a lot of different projects around this region so this means more homework for all of us to do.
