Champs Elysées was a variety show in french television presented by Michel Drucker and broadcast live from January 16, 1982 to June 1985 and from January 1986 until 29 June 1990. The show owes its name to the fact that it was produced live from the Pavillon Gabriel, located on avenue Gabriel, along the avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. In two hours, each issue of the show welcomed a guests and reviewed the musical news of the moment, not to mention the theatrical or cinematographic news. Limahl was a guest of the show twice. Here as a solo artist and in 1983 as a front-man of Kajagoogoo (on my playlist as well). Comments: The football match mentioned in the interview was FA Cup Final. It took place on 18 May 1985 at Wembley Stadium and Manchester United won with Everton 1:0, scored in extra time. Michel Drucker then said Limahl looks like Everton midfielder with number 6- Stevens. It is one of the first Limahl's performance with shorter hair and the last one before the mullet was completely removed in Los Angeles. 2. It is the last TV performance with Mandy Newton (as far I know). 3. It is the last TV performance (known to me) until 1986, when his new album came. 4.
