DRIVING TOUR FROM ROUEN TO ISNEAUVILLE │ LEROY MERLIN │ FRANCE 🇫🇷

Isneauville is a French commune located in the department of Seine-Maritime in the Normandy region. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, near the school, several stone tombs were unearthed, containing vases and weapons, which testify to a Frankish settlement. It is estimated, however, that the occupation of the site predates this time well. In the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, major clearing work was undertaken under the authority of the monks of the Saint-Ouen abbey in Rouen, who established settlements. Consequently, the habitat becomes denser. An entrenchment was started at Isneauville in 1870, in order to protect Rouen against the Prussians. Two large cannons were brought there, which were not even put in a battery. In the twentieth century, and more particularly since 1968, the town has experienced spectacular demographic growth.
