Shenandoah Brook Trout, Madison County, VA - Wooly Bugged
In this video Michael Evanko heads to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to chase wild brook trout on a tributary to the Rapidan River in Madison County. This was his first time fishing this public water. The water temperature at the time of filming was 48 degrees. Evanko hiked a half-mile up the tributary prior to beginning fishing. The fly rod used in this video is a hand made 7'-3wt fiberglass rod crafted by Nico Vreugdenhil, the owner of Yamame Fly Rods based in the Netherlands. The reel used is an Approach Genesis.
