Shenandoah Brook Trout, Madison County, VA - Wooly Bugged

In this video Michael Evanko heads to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to chase wild brook trout on a tributary to the Rapidan River in Madison County. This was his first time fishing this public water. The water temperature at the time of filming was 48 degrees. Evanko hiked a half-mile up the tributary prior to beginning fishing. The fly rod used in this video is a hand made 7'-3wt fiberglass rod crafted by Nico Vreugdenhil, the owner of Yamame Fly Rods based in the Netherlands. The reel used is an Approach Genesis. The fish caught in this video were all released. This video was shot on Saturday, December 28, 2019 and was solo filmed. Please consider catching and releasing all wild brook trout.
