With two millennia of fascinating history ready to be discovered at every turn, there are few cities in the world quite like York. Shaped over centuries by the Romans, the Vikings, the Normans and more, this centre of Northern England is one of the country's most significant cities, and also one of the most popular with visitors from all over the world, with all of York's main sights easy to discover on foot! So, join me for a bumper hour-long walk around York's historic city centre on a sunny December afternoon, with the city bustling in the lead-up to Christmas!
