Driving Around Small Town Wabash, Indiana in 4k Video

Filmed on Sunday, August 25 2024, I drive around Wabash, IN to see what's going on. The name Wabash derives from the Miami-Illinois Native American term for "water over white stones". Wabash claims to be the first electrically lighted city in the world, however it was only the court house grounds which were lighted. The lights that were used were carbon arc lights invented in 1870 by Charles Brush. Four 3,000-candle lights were suspended from the top of the courthouse. Telegraph wires ran from the lamps to the courthouse basement, where they were connected to a 12-horsepower steam engine. #drivingtour #smalltownlife #indiana
