PYRETHRUM:NAKURU COUNTY FARMERS REAPING FAT
Pyrethrum is a white flower that grows in Kenya and is used to make organic pesticides. Kenya used to be a major producer of pyrethrum with Kenya accounting for over 70% of the global production in the 1980s/90s, due to its high pyrethrin content. but production declined due to cheaper synthetic alternatives. However, there is growing interest in pyrethrum again, and the industry is being revitalized.
