Tips - Make sure to scan above the diaphragm for pleural free fluid - haemothorax Below the diaphragm for abdominal fluid in Morrison's pouch Lower pole of the kidney Caudal tip of the liver Fluid appears as sharp angles as opposed to fluid in bladder, bowel which is rounded Fan/Tilt the probe whilst clearing each section to get a 3D impression.
