The 2019 model enjoys refreshed front and rear bumpers, a new grille, and new lights and wheels. Trims range in price from $25,990 to $44,690 before the $990 destination charge and additional option costs. The Sorento no longer offers a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, but shoppers can still enjoy either the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter 4-cylinder or a 290-horsepower V6 engine. All-wheel drive is available on all but the base L trim, and is standard on the ES, SX, and SX Limited trims. Kia’s great UVO infotainment system returns on either 7- or 8-inch touchscreens, and runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert come standard on all trims, although spending a little more can earn you safety features like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning. The Kia Sorento lives in a middle ground between 2-row compact SUVs and midsize SUVs, and its wide-ranging price points reflect that.
