Fadal VMC-10 CNC Cutting Demo
I've had a lot of people email me asking whether they should look at buying a Fadal for their own workshops... A common question is whether or not the older Fadals can deal with modern 3D contouring and high speed machining toolpaths. This video shows my Fadal VMC10 ripping up some tool steel using a variety of tools and toolpaths, including adaptive roughing, helical boring, 3D contouring and so on! This CNC machine (which I affectionately refer to as Milly) has served me very well, it's not the fastest machine in the world (especially the tool changes) but it is simple. robust, and capable! Especially for a machine built in 1994. -Aaron #CNC #Fadal
