LYDIA PENSE: BLOOD & BILL

Unsung within the mainstream, but embraced wholeheartedly as the Queen of the East Bay, vocalist Lydia Pense was born out of the counterculture of late 60's San Francisco, making her stamp with horn based, funk rock group Cold Blood. Introduced to impresario Bill Graham by rock vocalist Janis Joplin, Bill Graham would launch San Francisco Records, tapping on Cold Blood for the label's first release, introducing Lydia Pense to the world.
