Rye, Colorado - History & Information - #23/100
The Rye area began as a trading post surrounded by several large ranches. A village formed, finding success in the dairy and logging industries. As cars rose in popularity, Rye became a summer destination due to it's scenery and cool temperatures. Today Rye is well-known in southern Colorado as the location of Bishop Castle, Sonic Bloom Festival, Lake Isabel and Greenhorn Mountain. Ski Lodge consists me and the rest of my family as we explore the great State of Colorado and more. Initially created to get everyone out of the house, it has turned into a vast collection of history, photography and general information.
