Coal Rolling on the Central! (Turbo Failure!) {03/30/2025}

Welcome back ya'll! Today I started my day in Macon expecting to see either GC 532 or GC 550 leading todays L781, to which i find 550 leading todays train elephant style long hood- southern style! After watching the crew prepare i got ahead to the first acessable crossing to find the crew had also decided to stop here for a pickup- letting a conductor onboard. In the process I found out just how good todays day was going to be- regaurdless of the weather- 550 was billowing smoke on the climb out of Macon. Once L781 collected the conductor I pursued knowing what was to come with smoke that thick. I set up at a crossing near Dry Branch, Ga on hwy 80 and watched the show unfold. GC 550's turbo was beginning to fail and billowed smoke and flames all the way from Macon to Savannah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video, stay tuned and cya on the main!
