The Museum of Moscow is launching a series of intimate online meetings with Moscow experts. While we can't stroll through our favorite Moscow spots, we're inviting you to discuss them. The second meeting will focus on the Chistye Prudy district—its constructivist monuments, tenement buildings, and narrow medieval streets. The combination of water, greenery, and beautiful architecture has always created a special atmosphere in certain corners of Moscow. Chistye Prudy is a body of water that needs no introduction: dozens of feature films have been filmed here. In the 17th century, it was home to palace settlements and foreign courtyards; in the 19th century, a promenade appeared, and churches, palaces, and tenement buildings sprouted and sprouted around it. The 20th century also left several remarkable buildings in the district. Chistye Prudy is a place of romantic torment, straightforward moneymaking, literature, and art. The stories you share will become part of the museum's collection and may be included in future exhibition and publishing projects. The project is being implemented as part of the "Greater Moscow" program, which aims to study Moscow's districts, preserve and promote their tangible and intangible heritage, provide methodological support to district libraries and cultural centers in their Moscow studies work, and engage district and local communities in joint activities to preserve the history of the city's districts.
