1979 Yamaha XS1100 F First Start

Picked up this old horse in Buffalo and trailered it back to Rochester. She was crusty, and was missing a headlight, all signal lamps, and some other pieces (mostly battery cage). Couldn't do much checking since the fuse panel was toast, but I did manage to turn the crank manually and saw she was at least trying to build compression in all 4 cylinders. The carb was frozen and stunk from severely rotten gas. Brakes were completely locked up. But, I thought she had good bones - no frame rust through or visible damage, engine looked free from oil blow through, and the wiring harnesses looked generally uncompromised, so I took the chance. And, the price was right... Got her home, cleaned her up, tore down the carb and thoroughly cleaned / adjusted floats / bench synched it, rewired the fuse panel, rebuilt the brake calipers + new fluid, adjusted the cam chain tensioner, new plugs, new oil / filter, and new gas. Then, I turned on the video camera and tried to fire her up...
