Marc Miethe - Berlin Didgeridoo live looping: "Housely"

Believe it or not, the Red Sound SoundBite Looper is actually intended for DJs and is only suitable for live looping to a limited extent. But didgeridoo professional Marc Miethe from Berlin has managed to elicit maximum musicality from the device with ease. His innovative approach combines traditional Aboriginal sounds with modern electronic music, creating a unique auditory experience that captivates audiences. Marc's skill lies in his ability to seamlessly blend the primal tones of the didgeridoo with the rhythmic loops generated by the SoundBite Looper. He often performs in clubs and festivals, where his fusion of ancient and contemporary sounds draws a diverse crowd. Despite the limitations of the SoundBite Looper, Marc has demonstrated that with creativity and mastery of one's instrument, even the most basic equipment can be transformed into a powerful tool for musical expression. His performances not only showcase his talent but also highlight the versatility of the didgeridoo, challenging traditional notions of what can be achieved with this ancient instrument. ABOUT ME ... MARC MIETHE I launched my musical career in the children's choir of the "Deutsche Oper" (German Opera, Berlin) and discovered the didgeridoo in 1992 as a bass player. With my bands Circular Breathing, Peshkar, Gnawa Impulse, Boobinga (with Armin Metz), BiOS, O.Ton Projekt, Mantra Tribe, and Didges Brew, as well as through my solo projects, I developed a very personal approach to the didgeridoo. As a qualified Body Psycho Therapist, I have been sharing my knowledge as a teacher since 1994 and have published several articles on Didgeridoo Playing. I have had numerous appearances and workshops at festivals worldwide, corporate events, trade fairs, and on radio and TV. Highlights include a tour with Indian superstar Arijit Singh (MTV India), performances with the brass quintet of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin, Pop Meets Classic, Klangzeit Festival, DLD Conference, World Youth Festival, Respect Festival Prague, Fusion Festival, Love Parade, Sennheiser Global Conference, BMW Formula 1 Party Monte Carlo, SAP Fair Nice, Thomas Cook, MTV Select, and the official opening of the 12th IAAF World Championship. In 1999, I co-founded the Berlin-based world music network Cross Culture Music and have been working as a booking agent since then.
