Because while governments tell ordinary people there’s never enough funding for healthcare, housing, education, or dignity… somehow there always seems to be money for war, militarism, and protecting wealth and power. After a serious fall and broken leg, I experienced BOTH Portugal’s public healthcare system and one of its top private hospitals — back-to-back. And the contrast was staggering.
