Riding on the Edge (of BCP) | Gravel, Trail Way, Mud and Road around Bournemouth on #GravelBike

Back in the days of the tier system we created a route around the town to give us a 55 Mile mixed terrain route we could ride on our gravel bikes. The tier system quickly became history and the route was forgotten, so with lockdown rules set to be relaxed we thought we'd get it done at least once. Due to narrow footpaths through a housing estate along the Fairmile area of Christchurch we used the Avon Causeway from Hurn to bridge across to the north eastern edge of the boundary at Walkford. Julie rides a Liv Invite with Ritchey Venturemax bars, 10 speed Tiagra 4720 and DT Swiss C1800 Spline wheels and Gravelking Slicks 32mm for road and Pathfinder Pro 38mm tyres for gravel riding. Mike rides a Giant Toughroad SLR GX1 with Ritchey Butano bars, GRX 400 10 speed and DT Swiss G1800 Spline wheels and Gravelking Slicks 32mm for road and Pathfinder Pro 42mm tyres for gravel.
