So if you are a first-time buyer, hire a realtor with experience with first-time buyers. How do you like to communicate? As a Realtor you are pretty much always on call. But you want to make sure that when you hire a Realtor that real estate agent communicates in the way you like to communicate. So, if you want to be contacted by phone every day. Hire a Realtor that will phone you every day. But also set out the expectations from your Realtor for what you expect and want for communication. It is communication breakdowns that are often the number one thing people complain about Realtors. I am not sure what the process is of buying a house. Can you walk me through it? As a first-time buyer you are probably not an expert in buying a house. But a Realtor is! That is why you hire a Realtor. That real estate agent should have a plan for first-time buyers like yourself and be able to explain it. Buying a house in Canada is a long process full of pitfalls. Burt a good real estate agent will have a plan and the experience to navigate those problems. How many first-time home buyers have you helped in the past three years? When you hire a Realtor, you are hiring someone who helps people buy houses every day. They should be able to demonstrate their track record of helping first-time buyers buy a house. You don’t need to hire the real estate agent who sells the most homes in your neighbourhood, that agent might not have enough time for you. But you might not want to hire a Realtor who is just doing their first deal. What sets you apart from other Realtors? Every Realtor wants to show you how they are different from all of the other Realtors out there. So let them! Use this as a chance to let the agent explain the team of professionals around them, or the experience they have as a agent working with first-time buyers. Why should I hire you as my Realtor? You want to hire a Realtor who is excited to work for you, excited to help you find that dream home. And trust me as real estate agents we love to talk about ourselves. Ask this question at the very end of the interview and see if that real estate agent is excited to be your Realtor if they just see you as another paycheque. #BaldPrairieRealEstate #BuyingAHomeInCanada #HireARealtor Related Videos: First-time home buyer guide:    • BUYING A HOUSE IN CANADA | First Time Home...   CMHC Predicts 18% Price Drop in Canadian housing market:    • THE CANADIAN REAL ESTATE BUBBLE IS GOING T...   Why hasn’t the real estate market crashed yet?:    • REALTOR EXPLAINS WHY THE MARKET HASN'T CRA...   5 Reasons the Canadian real estate market is going to crash:    • 5 REASONS THE REAL ESTATE MARKET IS GOING ...   My name is Matthew Pfeifer and this is Bald Prairie Real estate.
