I began this painting with the open sky and distant mountain layers, then gradually built the green hillside and the sunlit village beside the water. I wanted the warm pastel buildings, curved stone promenade, and blue reflections to feel connected as one complete and believable landscape. I worked from the distant areas toward the foreground, slowly adding the waterfront houses, windows, balconies, stone paving, sailboats, and the two small figures walking beside the shore. My main focus was creating a clear sense of depth, giving the water natural movement, and adding enough detail without losing the peaceful feeling of the scene.
